    Viasoft
    Tuesday, 2:00-2:50 p.m.
No single sourcing strategy is going to be effective for today's IS organizations. Companies need an approach that is flexible, creative, and most importantly, leverages internal resources. Many businesses today are finding that more than 50% of their overhead is tied into the labor involved in the programming and analysis of maintaining existing systems. Focusing on new development, therefore, has become a difficult task.

Insourcing is one approach we have found that focuses on optimizing existing resources for future initiatives. It provides better understanding of maintenance processes, helps free staff up for new initiatives to comply with business drivers, improves overall quality and assists in using insourcing and outsourcing strategies to their best advantage.
