The
Microsoft Internet Developers Workshop will provide you with the opportunity
to gain new insights into how Microsoft technologies
are addressing Web-enabled application development,
both for the Internet and your internal intranets.
You will also learn how to extend existing
applications to take advantage of this new platform
and publish your content on the Web.
Microsoft's Active
Platform offers businesses a common solution for
publishing and retrieving information, as well as for
running lines of business applications on both
internal networks and on the Internet. These sessions
will show you how to use tools such as
FrontPage™ Web Authoring Tool and Visual
InterDev™ to create, publish and manage a
compelling Web presence that takes advantage of HTML,
scripting, ActiveX™ controls, Java™
applets and key features of the Windows operating
system. You will also learn how to
"Web-enable" new and existing applications
using such technologies as Active Server Pages,
Microsoft Transaction Server and Microsoft Internet
Explorer.

Windows NT
Server is the easiest server operating
system for your most demanding business needs. It's
so easy to set up you'll be up and running less than
an hour after you take it out of the box. It's so
flexible, scalable, and compatible you'll realize
significantly reduced hardware and software costs.
It's so reliable and easy to manage and use, you'll
experience far less downtime.
Windows NT Server
is the most complete server platform for your most
demanding Internet and corporate intranet needs. It
transforms the Web into simply another part of your
operating system with its built-in integrated Web
server, Microsoft Internet Information Server and
web-authoring tools, FrontPage and Image Composer.
Microsoft
Transaction Server is a new product that
combines the features of a TP monitor and an object
request broker in an easy-to-use package. Microsoft
Transaction Server lowers server development costs up
to 40%. Developers use Microsoft Transaction Server
to deploy scalable server applications built from
ActiveX™ components, focusing on solving
business problems instead of on the programming
application infrastructure. Microsoft Transaction
Server delivers the "plumbing" including
transactions, scalability services, connection
management, and point-and-click administration,
providing developers with the easiest way to build
and deploy scalable server applications for business
and the Internet.
