To Highlight DCI's Data Warehouse World
Rapid
Exhibitor and Attendee Growth Moves Show to San
Jose Convention Center
Andover,
MA -- Highlighting practical business
applications, DCI's Data Warehouse World comes to
Silicon Valley April 8-10 with over 125
exhibitors, 60 new speakers and 75 new
educational sessions. An executive forum,
debates, user stories, roundtable sessions and
product presentations contribute to this unique
interactive event at the San Jose Convention
Center where prospective users will discover the
best ways to design and implement their
technology and business strategies.
Emphasizing
real-world experiences, the show will tackle the
hottest issues in data warehousing. OLAP,
middleware, data mining and data marts will take
center stage throughout the show. While a daylong
forum addresses the pros and cons of data mining,
a second forum will zoom in for a closer look at
OLAP. Early adopters of these technologies will
share their implementation experiences and
results.
Fortune
500 companies such as Sears, MCI and Bank of
America will present their user stories as
practical case studies to benefit technical
decision makers. Other corporations to share
their experiences will include Blue Cross and
Blue Shield, The Clorox Company, Union Pacific
Railroad, and NationsBank. Through these
firsthand accounts, prospective users can explore
such issues as buying vs. building a data
warehouse and intranet security.
In
scheduled roundtable sessions, attendees will
interact with industry experts and systems
integrators on topics such as Database Marketing
and Risk/Financial Management. Specific tracks in
retail, finance and health care will offer
industry-specific solutions. In addition,
participants in DCI's Executive Forum will
explore the competitive advantages of data
warehouse technology from an executive level
perspective.
Contesting
the latest architectural issues, industry experts
will duke it out in The Great Data Warehouse
Debates. The three never before seen debates
include: Relational OLAP vs. Multi-Dimensional
OLAP; Dimensional Modeling vs. ER Modeling; and
Repository Strategies: Who's on First?
