Massachusetts Interactive Media Council (MIMC) To Present Awards at DCI's Internet Expo in Boston

Andover, MA -- DCI is pleased to announce its recent partnership with MIMC: the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council. As a result of this new partnership, MIMC will be holding the 1996 MIMC Awards at DCI's Internet Expo in Boston, October 15-17, 1996. Awards will be presented October 15. This awards program is currently the only competition recognizing leading-edge Internet and multimedia applications and enabling technologies designed, produced, or developed in New England.

The MIMC Best of Show Awards, to be presented at DCI's Internet Expo, will recognize the best new products at DCI's Internet Expo based on creativity, technical excellence, and effectiveness of communication. The Best of Show Awards are limited to firms who are New England-based entrants and are participants in DCI's Internet Expo. Information on the awards competition is available on the MIMC Web site.

1996 MIMC Awards sponsors include: Peabody & Brown, Coopers & Lybrand LLP, BBN Planet, Silicon Valley East, Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo P.C., KPMG Peat Marwick, and Daniels.NewMedia.

About INTERNET EXPO

DCI's Internet Expo at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston will be an active meeting of IT minds. DCI is expecting over 1,500 conference attendees and over 50,000 expo attendees for the event. Exciting additions to this twelve-track conference are: Java Jolts the Internet, sponsored by Sun Microsytems, and Microsoft's Internet User and Developer Conference, sponsored by Microsoft. DCI's Internet Expo is co-chaired by Dr. George Schussel, Chairman and CEO of DCI, Dale Dougherty, President and CEO of Songline Studios, and Einar Stefferud, President of Network Management Associates, Inc.
