DCI Offers the Hynes' Newest Conference With a Special Presentation by Harvey Mackay, and Works to Give Back to the Massachusetts Community

Andover, MA -- DCI is pleased to announce that Harvey Mackay, the well-known New York Times #1 best-selling author, will give an exclusive presentation at DCI’s Field & Sales Force Automation Conference, September 10-12, 1996, at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. Named one of the top five speakers in the world by the 180,000 members of Toastmasters International, Mackay will make his only public Boston appearance on September 11, 1996, to discuss how to outsell, outmanage, outmotivate and outnegotiate your competition, offering powerful tips on salesmanship, customer service, management and negotiation.

DCI’s Field & Sales Force Automation Conference returns to the Hynes Convention Center and is co-chaired by Tim Bajarin, President, Creative Strategies, and Barton Goldenberg, President, ISM, Inc. It will offer six comprehensive conference tracks: SFA & the Internet, Customer Asset Management, Today’s Technology, Sales & Marketing Management, Creating High Performance Sales Organizations and Automation Strategies and Implementation.

Over 150 industry giants, many from the Boston area, will be on hand to offer exhibits including: Concentra Corporation, Lotus Development Corporation, Sybase/Powersoft Corporation, Dale Carnegie Training, Tech Resource Group, Inc., Brock Control Systems, Inc., Borealis, IBM, Aurum Software and Vantive. Over 50 new product announcements will be made at the Hynes conference.

DCI is currently the Hynes' largest client and is pleased to be recognized for its contribution to Boston by receiving the "Donald M. Lawrence Spirit of Convention Promotion" award presented by the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau. Don Lawrence, for whom the award was named, was a respected and devoted sales professional who promoted the city of Boston to convention planners for many years.

DCI is taking on a proactive role in Massachusetts and giving back to the community by volunteering in several educational-based community programs for the fall, National NetDay96 and Massachusetts Networks campaigns, as well as Kids Compute-2001, Mayor Menino’s initiative for Boston schools. NetDay will present its empowering information to a packed expo floor at the Field & Sales Force Automation Conference.

Running concurrently with DCI’s Field & Sales Force Automation Conference will be Network World Unplugged. With four pivotal conference tracks, Network World Unplugged will concentrate on reaching the "road warrior" along with the branch or remote office worker quicker, easier and more cost effectively.

Exposition hours are Wednesday, September 11, 1996, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Thursday, September 12, 1996, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Further information can be accessed at DCI’s home page.
