Dr. Schussel writes extensively on database and client/server computing subjects and has authored or co-authored several books and over 100 articles or columns in leading computer industry journals.
Dr. Schussel undertakes a variety of consulting assignments in the software industry. Software vendors he has assisted with marketing or product positioning include: Hewlett Packard, AT&T/NCR, IBM, Digital Equipment Corporation, Sequent Computer, Computer Associates, Sybase, Information Builders, and Borland among others.
Dr. Schussel is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, holds the CDP certification from the Data Processing Management Association, and received an Outstanding Industrial Engineer of the Year award from the American Institute of Industrial Engineers. His academic background includes a Doctorate from the Harvard Business School (Marketing & Computer Science); a Master's Degree from Harvard University (Applied Mathematics & Computer Science); and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of California (Physics & Mathematics). He has lectured or held faculty appointments at the University of Southern California, Harvard, MIT, and the University of Alabama.
