This presentation looks at the business factors that drive the area of Business Intelligence and the process that has evolved to meet the exploding demand. Key to this process is broad integration of networks of databases and files, spanning offerings from numerous companies. Customer examples are used to show how the DB2 family of products can play in this super-heterogeneous environment to form a general-purpose solution to a wide variety of Business Intelligence problems. The session closes with a discussion of key technologies and directions.
