(formerly Twentieth Century Mutual Funds) manages more than $55 billion in assets and over 2 million investors. This session discusses the implementation of the IMAGE++ Document Retrieval System which serves over 1800 service support representatives and handles in excess of 100,000 transactions per day. The GUY front end to this Document Retrieval System was developed using VisualAge for C++ (VAC++) while IBM IWPM2 (ImagePlus Workstation Program for OS/2) is the document handling engine supported by a DB2 Data Warehouse. The VAC++ project team experienced 75% code reuse and application development cycle time reduction from an estimated 9.5 months to less than 2 months.
