CALL FOR PAPERS

The 8th WRAD
International Uses Group Conference

This year's Warehouse/Repository/Architecture/Development (WRAD) International Users Group Conference will focus on issues related to implementing data warehouse, repository, architecture and developing repository/warehouse-based applications. We encourage papers which describe new techniques and proven solutions in these areas. We are interested in papers of levels from introductory to advanced, and oriented toward both managers and technicians. Of particular interest are case studies and experiences from users. Proposals for presentations may be for individual or multiple speakers, panel sessions or for a full day tutorial.

Conference Presentation

Please submit abstracts of no more than 50 words (suitable for publishing in the conference brochure), plus a presentation outline (to assist the conference committee evaluate the paper). Also, provide biography of the speaker and the history of the presentation (i.e. has it been presented before? When and where?)

Full Day Tutorial

Please submit abstracts of no more than 50 words and a complete outline of the program as well as 5-10 benefits the attendee would receive if they attended this tutorial. These intensive one day tutorials should have sufficient content for a 9-5 class. Also, provide biography of the speaker and the history of the presentation (i.e. has it been presented before? When and where?)

WRAD Presentation and Speaker Policies:

  1. Authors of papers must provide camera ready copies of presentation material by August 22, 1997. Failure to do so may result in replacement of the speaker. By providing said copies, author grants WRAD the right to reproduce the paper in conference proceedings.
  2. Speakers must provide for their own transportation and expenses. Accepted speakers receive complimentary conference registration for themselves.
  3. Presentations with commercial or self-serving content will not be accepted in the conference proper. Speakers who breach this policy at the conference will be asked to change or discontinue their presentation.
